Just a couple of notes this time. Beam does have the Swine Flu, but seems to be getting better and hopefully will be home tomorrow, but isolated for the rest of the week. I hope we are resistant and don't get it. We have spent at least 24 hours in the same van with her the past weeks so I don't know how we can avoid it, except by being strong and healthy. I expect this week will be a bit hectic for us since we are probably now picking up her classes.
Had a great workout at the local fitness center and went for a walk. That will be a welcome change of pace for us the next few weeks.
The heat and mosquitoes haven't been as bad as we expected. It is very warm, but the schools are very open, big windows and so far a nice breeze most days. Like anywhere, if you stay out of the sun it is very tolerable. Plus we do spend time in the school office which is air conditioned.
Today actually was a cool day (for here). Since it rained much of the day and there is a thick cloud cover it is a pleasant evening, nice to sit out and relax. So time to eat, rest and get ready for a busy week, I expect.
Ron and Susanne...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Beam being diagnosed with the Swine Flu. We are all praying for her speedy recovery and that you won't come down with it either. WISN (Channel 12 News this morning just reported that the virus is spreading there in Thailand and that they are closing schools. Wonder if the schools you are teaching at are closing too? I pray for all of you over there. Stay well, be safe, God bless you,
xoxoxo
